We are a church family in the centre of Cheltenham, together worshipping Jesus and becoming more passionate about Him. We are made up of all ages, backgrounds and situations in life, but are united by our faith Jesus Christ, a commitment to the Bible as God’s Word, and a desire to share this with others. So whoever you are, we’d like to think you can find a home amongst us.

Coronavirus Update - all services cancelled, but we're going online!

Unfortunately all church services, groups and meetings have been suspended until further notice. However, we’re still doing lots to grow followers of Jesus and share his love with everybody. Here’s what we’re doing:

  • Issuing a daily e-mail update with a Bible verse, thought, prayer and link to a relevant song on YouTube.
  • Recording a weekly ‘service’, available here on the website
  • Small groups are staying in touch by phone, email, and video calling. We’ve already had some online Bible studies!  Do let Richard Coombs and Clare Dyson know of anyone who becomes ill and / or who needs help.
  • Do let us know if you’d like to join a small group. We’ve created new ‘pastorates’ with leaders for those who are not in small groups.
  • Creating a list of people who are willing to help others. Email clared@stmstm.org.uk if you’d like to be added to this list.

If you are a member of our church family and have not already been receiving regular email updates, please email office@stmstm.org.uk to make sure you are on our distribution list. We will also  continue to post regular updates here on the website.

Our Online Services

St Matthew's (10 O'clock) & Cheltenham Minster (11am)

We live in a world that longs for community, reconciliation and peace because so many people feel isolated, alienated and in conflict with others. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians tells us that all these longings can be fulfilled in the church when the church is being the church that God wants it to be – a church which is passionate about Jesus and united to each other.

For the final two in this series, see our online services uploaded to the website and our YouTube channel.

St Matthew's (6.30)

A criminal, a cheat, and an adulterer walk into a bar. They meet God. What happens next? At the 6.30 service over the next seven weeks we’ll be hearing true stories of the most unlikely folk who met Jesus and received forgiveness that changed their lives forever. We’ll also be hearing other true stories from some who have experienced God’s forgiveness today.

Join us on Zoom from Sunday 29th March. Click on the link above.
