Normally, 2nd Monday of every month at 8pm in the Wesley Room at St Matthew’s. Check the calendar for each month’s meeting.  During the pandemic this meeting is held virtually through our ‘zoom coffee’ link on the home page.

Town-wide Prayer Meetings

Prayer for University of Gloucestershire. Information is available from Ian Davies via the church office. These meetings combine the UCCF prayer group and the Foundation Fellows prayer group. Praise and prayer information covering Higher Education in general, the University, the Chaplaincy team, the CU and local UCCF matters is circulated. These notes are available upon request to those willing to pray on their own.

Prayer for Persecuted Christians. This is held regularly, contact Ian Davies or Jonathan Andrews via the church office for further information.  This meeting draws on material from Christian organisations including Open Doors, Release International, Christian Solidarity Worldwide and Middle East Concern.

Street Pastors. The group meets to pray for Cheltenham Street Pastors every second Tuesday in the month, 10:30am at St Matthew’s. We start with a cup of tea, Sue Knight leads the meeting and we pray for an hour. Everybody who would like to pray for the Street Pastors is very welcome.

Morning and Lunchtime Prayers at the Minster. Morning Prayer at the Minster takes place every Monday to Friday at 9am and 12.30pm respectively. All are welcome to come and pray in this beautiful building. Each Wednesday lunchtime prayers includes Holy Communion.
