A traditional Anglican service in the town’s most historic church.
The 11am service is a traditional service, accompanied by the organ, held in the ancient but well-preserved Cheltenham Minster. Holy Communion is usually celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month – see calendar for details. After the service, coffee and tea are served in St Matthew’s.
The 6:30 service is our most informal of our three services, with Bible teaching, prayers and worship led by a band. Many who come are students and young adults.
Coffee and tea are served as we come in – and there’s always an opportunity to discuss what we have heard and to catch up with each other. Holy Communion is usually celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of the month – see calendar for details.
Monday to Friday – start your day with a short Morning Prayer session in the Minster at 9am for about 20 minutes. Enter via the small door in the South-East corner of the Minster.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 15 minutes of Lunchtime Prayers for the town of Cheltenham from 12.30pm to 12.45pm. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to enjoy with a few minutes of prayer during a busy day.
Wednesday – a thirty minute Service of Holy Communion held in the Minster. Everybody very welcome and again bring your own lunch to enjoy.
These services operate throughout the year except Bank Holidays and on the week after Christmas Day and the week after Easter Sunday.
